For this one you will need:
A matchbox, scissors, a drawing pin, modelling clay and peanuts!
Firstly, remove the tray from the matchbox.
Take the tray and carefully cut along the three sides of the end flap and remove that end.
Now cut two slots in the base of the tray.
One at each side, going right to the back.
Take the matchbox sleeve and cut a square in the front. Make sure the square doesn't go above half way.
Tip: If you make a hole by poking a sharp pencil through the matchbox sleeve and into a ball of modelling clay, then you can insert the tips of your scissors into the hole and snip out the square.
Push a drawing pin through the back of the sleeve so that you can pin the box to a tree when you finish.
Now put the tray back into the sleeve.
When you've done that you should be able to push your finger into the square hole and push the springy platform of the matchbox tray backwards and forwards.
Now push a peanut into the hole and up so it is trapped between the sleeve and the springy platform.
When the top of the box is pecked the nut will fire out of the hole in the sleeve!
Now just pin the box to a tree and wait for the birds to work it out!
