 When the African rivers dry out, the slippery lungfish oozes vats of slime from its worm-like body, encasing itself in a mucus tomb. It spends eight months lying in this slimy bag waiting for the rains to return and then slides out from the sack, cracking the outer crust and dropping back into the water.
