Are you frightened by any animals?
Some people don't like spiders. Some can't stand mice!
The one creature that freaks Stephen out every time is of course, a snake!

Stephen reckons he was born with his fear of snakes.
They don't bother Gail at all, as you can see.

So - are we born with a fear of snakes, or is it something we learn?
We put it to the test with ten-month old Molly. She's never seen a snake before, so how will she react to the one that Gail's holding?

No problem at all!
She was absolutely transfixed and didn't appear frightened in any way.
In fact, she seemed to quite like the snake.

So there's proof that a fear of snakes that everyone's born with, it's something that we learn.
