This is Mark - a donkey!
Nothing odd about him, you might think.

But when you see Gail standing alongside him, you can see he's very very small!
In fact he's only 71cm in height! |

|
|
|
Miniature donkeys were bred as pets and because they are easily trained they're often used to pull small carts and can even be ridden by small children.
And because they're small, they're much easier to keep than a full size donkey...

...like Basil here! He's a good half metre taller than Mark.
Both donkeys are exactly the same apart from their height difference.

They both have the same big ears.
|
|
|

 |
|
|
|
|
The same type of hooves.
|
|
|

 |
 |
|
|
|
|
...and even the same cross on their backs!
|

|

But there's one big difference.
Basil lives in fields with other donkeys whereas Mark hangs out with a Great Dane dog!
