Gail joined top zoological vet David Taylor at Marine Land in the south of France for this challenge...
...clean the teeth of a killer whale!

The whales get their teeth cleaned every day - with an everyday human electric toothbrush!
The process allows David to keep abreast of any developing dental disease.
Just like human dentistry, problems like cavities can be treated. Killer whales make very good patients!

For the next part of the challenge, Gail had to blow the killer whale's nose!
David explained how this procedure requires a plate containing a jelly filled with food that germs like to eat.

The whale's blow hole is actually his nose. David and Lindsay explained how it's done - simply tapping the blow hole makes the whale blow.
The plate is placed over the blow hole and, as the whale blows, traps what comes out. Eww. But the contents of the plate can be analysed in a lab for tests to check whether the whale is healthy.

Mission accomplished.
Well done Gail!
