These are tailless whip scorpions.
They're disgusting and totally deadly - but not to humans!

Their bite isn't poisonous, but what they lack in this department they make up for in other ways.
These chaps live in caves where there's complete darkness - rendering their eyes useless!

Instead of looking for prey - they feel for it!
Using their long hair-like front legs as feelers, they wave from side to side until they make contact with a victim. Then they strike in a fraction of a second!

|
|
Because of the darkened surroundings, the victim won't be able to see what's coming, nor will it be able to feel those hair-like sensors brushing against it.
The first it'll know of the attack is when it's head is bitten off!

Who needs poison when you're armed with grasping mouthparts decorated with spines that shred your victim to pieces?
