Meet Rachel and Robbie - two very brilliant and very inquisitive creatures!
But what kind of creatures do you think they are?
The chances are you'll be thinking "raccoon" and if so, that's a pretty good guess. They look very similar indeed - as you can see in this picture.
But, amazingly, they're actually wild dogs!
Because they look so much like raccoons, they're called raccoon dogs.
You might expect them to behave similarly to other wild dogs, like foxes and wolves. But raccoon dogs act very differently - they actually hibernate!
In the autumn, when it starts to get cold, they eat as much food as possible and then go underground, and sleep for half the winter.
Not very dog-like, eh?
And that's not the only strange behaviour exhibited by raccoon dogs!
They love climbing trees, too! They wrap their short front paws around the tree, and then use their strong hind legs to push themselves up.
If they see a bird in the tree, they'll even try to catch it to eat it!
Raccoon dogs will eat almost anything - including seafood. In the wild, raccoon dogs will live near rivers and lakes so that they can catch fish with their paws.
Another way that these creatures are like raccoons is the way they've moved into towns and cities in their native country to live side by side with human beings. So not only do they look like raccoons, but by hibernating, climbing trees, catching fish and living in towns and cities, they also behave much more like raccoons and dogs.
So you'd be forgiven for thinking that the raccoon and the raccoon dog were the same.
But they live in different parts of the world!
The raccoon dog lives in countries like Japan and China, whereas the raccoon lives on the opposite side of the world in North America.
So there you have it - the raccoon dog.
It might be a dog, but it's much better at being a raccoon!
