Exercise is great - especially watching other people do it!
Kate looks like she's being very lazy - but she's actually using up energy just by sitting down and watching Fearne on the television.

Energy comes from food.
See these candles, just burning away? Well, exactly the same thing is going on inside Fearne's body.

The biscuit that she's eating is burning too. Here's how...
...the first stage of digestion is chewing. The biscuit is chewed up.
Then, saliva is added to break it down.
Once the biscuit has been swallowed, it gets smothered with acid in the stomach, and pummelled about, ready to be burnt up...
...a bit like this. Eww!
When a lighted match is dropped in, it just goes out. Oxygen is the key to burning. No oxygen - no burning.
This is easily proven with a small candle. Putting a lid over the candle limits the amount of oxygen available to the flame, and it eventually goes out.
So what about food burning?
This biscuit is the same as the one Fearne has been eating.
This container is filled with liquid oxygen. The biscuit is submerged in the oxygen.
And then, when the biscuit is set on fire...
So food does burn spectacularly well when mixed with oxygen.
Food mixes with oxygen inside your body, in your blood. There's no spectacular fire, but it does burn in tiny amounts very slowly to keep up your energy levels.
