These have got to be the coolest - and tallest - animals in town.
They're the Finger Tips Animals With Altitude, and if you want to make them - just keep reading.

The main body is made from a biscuit tube.
Carefully pierce two holes in either side of the tube with a sharp pencil. The legs will slot into these holes later.
To make the giraffe head, take a yoghurt pot and trim off all the edges.
| |
Place it onto a piece of card and draw around it like this.
Add on some horn and ear detail.
| |
Cut out the shape and glue it to the yoghurt pot.
That completes the giraffe head!
The neck is made from a kitchen roll tube.
Make some slits in the top and bottom, as you can see opposite.
| |
These slits help you to stick the head to the neck, because you can just fan them out.
Dab on some glue to stick the head and neck together, or use sticky tape.
If you do use tape, it's a good idea to add on a little paper maché to smoothen it over and make it easy to paint.
| |
Test out the body by adding four garden canes of equal length into the holes you made at the beginning.
It should stand up by itself.
Now you can add the neck to the body with sticky tape or glue.
Again, if you use tape just add a little paper maché over the top, to make it easy to paint.
| |
To paint, disassemble the legs from the main body.
You'll find it much easier to do it this way, than with everything assembled.
The giraffe is painted yellow, and has brown spots painted on top with a black outline.
| |
Add balls of yellow modelling clay to the ends of each leg, so that the giraffe will stand up and stay still.
If you like, why not add some card hooves to neaten off!
For eyes, either paint them or stick on some googly eyes which you can get from fabric/wool or craft shops.
| |
For a final effect, pierce a hole in the biscuit tube lid and thread through a piece of string knotted at one end.
A perfect tail!
For alternative ideas, how about a flamingo or a horse!
And remember you can store secret things inside!
