What does autumn make you think of?
Leaves, leaves and more leaves!
But with all those leaves on the ground, you can get your finger tips on exactly what you need to make this awesome autumn paper.
It looks great hanging up on a window and is also perfect for wrapping presents for anyone who has an autumn birthday.

So, collect some leaves and sort through them to get a good selection of different shapes.
Get a bin liner and lie it flat on your work surface.
Now lie a piece of tissue paper on top, and spread a layer of PVA glue and water (mixed in equal parts) over the whole sheet, with a brush.
| |
Arrange a scattering of leaves all over the glue-covered tissue paper.
Lie another sheet of tissue paper over the top.
Spread another layer of PVA glue and water over the top of that sheet.
Make sure there are no dry patches and no air bubbles!
| |
Leave the paper to dry.
Whilst it's drying, why not make some autumn pens as a gift that you can wrap up using the paper you've made?
These are frosted ballpoints. They look fantastic and are a great way of jazzing up a boring pen.
All you need is a pen, some PVA glue and some glitter.
Start by coating the pen with a good layer of PVA glue with a brush.
| |
Once you've got the pen well covered, just roll it in the glitter.
Stick the pen into some modelling clay to dry.
Repeat this twice more and add a final layer of PVA glue over the top to seal the glitter in place. (Remember, PVA glue dries clear).
| |
If you're going to give the pen away as a present, why not make a set and package them up in a nice box which you can then wrap up?
Just the right sort of present for an autumn birthday!
| |
If you don't fancy making the pens, why not hang a piece of the autumn paper up at the window and just let the light shine through.
It'll look fab.
