Here's how to make a great stand on which to store your baseball cap. It looks just like a baseball bat and, as with all Little Finger Tips, it's made from bits and pieces you can find lying around your house! To make it, just take a two litre drinks bottle and carefully cut off the top, like this. The part that you cut off can be the base of the hat stand. Alternatively you could use the lid from a takeaway cup of coffee. If you do use a coffee cup lid, you'll need to cover up the hole with masking tape. Now get a kitchen roll tube and make lots of slits in the bottom, like this. Tape the kitchen roll tube to the coffee cup lid or the top part of the drinks bottle depending on which you used. It doesn't matter if it looks messy because you'll soon be painting it. Next, carefully pour some sand into the kitchen roll tube to give it extra weight and make it more stable. Now you need another drinks bottle - this one contained squash and is a good choice because it looks like a baseball bat! Fill it partly full of sand to weigh it down, like this. Turn the bottle upside down and use plenty of tape to stick it to the kitchen roll tube, like this. And that completes the basic shape. The Baseball Hat Stand is finished off by painting. You could use brown for a traditional wood effect or go more modern by using aluminium.
