If you love working your way through books, you'll love the Finger Tips Book Worm Book End.
They work really well and look great.
There's also a secret compartment where you can hide things like notes, money, and anything else you don't want anyone to get their hands on.
You'll need two small crisp pots and a pair of socks to make the Book Worm Book End.
Half fill the socks with tissue paper.
Take the lid off one of crisp pots and turn it over.

Tightly pull the sock over the pot.
If there's any sock left over at the bottom, carefully trim it away.

Neatly tape the ends of the sock to the opening of the tube. Make sure the lid can still fit on.
Cut out a mouth shape by cutting along the seam of the sock.
Remove a bit of the tissue, and open it out a bit.
Then give the Book Worm two layers of paper maché.

Start at the bottom of the sock and work your way up. You don't want it to be too top heavy - or it'll topple over!
Before the Book Worm dries, tie bits of wool or string tightly around the stuffed part of the sock.
When the paper maché has dried, remove the wool and you'll have segments down the sock that make it look more worm-like!
For the tail, do exactly the same but don't cut out a mouth. Instead, tie a bit of string round the end to get a pointed end, like this.
Then paint the worm.

Highlight the segments with darker paint.
For the finishing touches, add a couple of wobbly eyes and a bit of crumpled paper to make it look like the Book Worm has been munching his way through a good read.
Weigh the ends down with a couple of pebbles, or stash it full of your belongings...
...then put your Book Worm Book End into action.
You could try making a pair of garden wire glasses for your bookworm, like these.
Or try experimenting with the wool technique and make a criss-cross effect for a rattlesnake.

This sea monster looks great too!

When you're happy with the skittle shape you need to stick a pin into the base of each one.

The easiest way to do this is to stick a map pin into a cork. This will protect your Finger Tips!
