It's 1 Minute Finger Tip time again.
Can you beat the clock?
You'll need an A4 piece of coloured card, an A4 piece of lined paper and a pair of scissors.
Start the clock, and fold the first piece of card in half like this.
| |
Then fold the lined paper in half, like this.
Place the folded card inside the folded lined paper.
Using the lines as a guide, cut along every two lines, so that you make evenly spaced slits in the card.
Stop the clock!
| |
You've made a flatpack CD rack!
Finish off by opening out every other slit, like this.
Then fold one of the two sides in half, so that a crease is made in the slits.
| |
Once it's opened out again, you can pop CDs in between the slits, like this!
Plus, here's an added tip. If you draw or paint a design on your coloured card first...
| |
...when you finish, the design takes on a weird 3D effect!
To make some reinforcing corners for the CD Rack, take a square of paper or thin card and folding it in half twice, so that when it's opened out, you have a cross shape in the middle.
| |
Cut along one of the fold lines into the centre point.
Pop a dab of stick glue in one corner...
| |
Stick it to the back of the CD Rack to give extra strength to the structure.
