Bonfire night is, of course, dark.
But when it's dark you can't see where you're going or who you're standing next to.
So why not make a Finger Tips flaming torch to make things easier?
Any torch that you can find will be suitable.
| |
First, get hold of a large balloon.
Cover it with paper mache, but use coloured tissue paper instead of newspaper.
Cover a third of the balloon with red tissue paper...
| |
...the next third should be orange...
and finish off with yellow.
| |
When dry, pop the balloon.
Cut a hole in the hole of the red section so that you can fit your torch through.
Don't worry about being too neat.
Make sure that the paper mache section will fit comfortably over the torch.
| |
Cut flame shapes into the yellow end of the paper mache.
Again, there's no need to be too neat.
Scrunch the flame around the torch and stick it in place.
Then give it a good scrunch along the whole length to make it look like a real fire.
| |
A great idea for making your bonfire night a flaming success!
