This brilliant game is best played outdoors, so that you've got lots of room to pot your balls!
So, take aim and pot your balls in number order from 1 to 9. If you miss a pot your opponent gets a shot.

Whoever pots the 9 ball is the winner!
Start with some pebbles.

Each pool ball has a pebble in the middle to make them heavy enough to roll across the ground.

You could make them without the pebbles but you wont get that authentic pool ball weight.
Wrap a pebble in newspaper. Secure the paper in place with some tape.

Put on five more layers of newspaper in exactly the same way.
Then cover the ball with a layer of paper maché.

Make ten balls altogether: one for the white ball and nine for the coloured balls.
Paint all the balls in a different colour.

Put the number in the middle of a white circle.
The yellow ball is number 9.

Paint a white stripe all the way around this one.
The six pockets are plastic flower pots resting on their sides.
Then all you need is a bamboo cane as a cue, and you're ready to go.
Arrange your balls in a diamond shape with the number 9 ball in the middle and the number 1 ball at the front.
Finally put your 6 pockets in place - one in each corner and one on either side.
