If you've ever had a bad hair day (and who hasn't?!), why not make the Finger Tips Groovy Groomer. It'll help you keep bad hair days at bay - for good! It looks great, has a mirror... ..and helps you to keep all your clips, grips, combs and gels together in one place with these handy pockets! To make the basic shape of the Groovy Groomer, take a large piece of cardboard box card and draw around a dinner plate once, like this. Then take a small cereal box and draw around it underneath, to create a shape for the neck. Now take the dinner plate again, and draw around the dinner plate again, twice, as you can see here. Round everything off, using the shapes that you've drawn as a guide, to create the final shape. Next you'll need a saucer. Place it within the circle at the top and draw around it. Now you can cut the shape out, so that you have something that looks like this. The Groovy Groomer's dreadlocked hair is made from fat, furry pipe cleaners like these. Thread some colourful beads onto the pipe cleaners to make them look even more funky. The mirror in the Groovy Groomer is actually a mirror tile. You can get these from most DIY stores. Place it onto the back of the head, in a diamond shape. Draw around each edge with a pen. Now you can stick on the dreadlocks. Make sure that you don't go into the diamond shape that you drew around the tile, or you won't be able to stick it down properly! When the dreadlocks are stuck down, stick some mirror card (available from craft shops) on the front of the head. It's a good idea to make the circle slightly smaller, as it'll hide the edge of the circle the cardboard behind. Stick the mirror tile in place using sticky pads. Most mirror tiles come with these pads. If yours doesn't, you can buy them separately from a DIY store. Stick it down well! Flip the whole thing over, and stick on the pockets for the accessories. These are just small cereal boxes. Now you can start to paint. On this one, we've painted a denim jacket and a Finger Tips t-shirt. Pretty cool, eh? You can even clip your clips to the Groovy Groomer's hair! More sticky pads will enable you to stick the Groovy Groomer to a wall. Get someone to help you with the positioning, to make sure it's at the right height and is straight. So - make yourself look groovy every morning with the Finger Tips Groovy Groomer!
