This game is called Meatball, and it's the most fun you can ever have with old takeaway foil containers!
The aim of the game is to flick meatballs into scoring takeaway containers.
The player with the highest score wins!
| |
To make the game, you'll need as many takeaway foil containers and plastic forks as you can get your hands on.
If you don't have any at home, you can buy them in packs at supermarkets.
Making the scoring takeaway containers is easy.
Just glue each foil carton onto its lid, to give extra stability.
Pop a few large pasta shapes into each...
...then mix up a good quantity of brown ready-mixed poster paint with PVA glue.
| |
Pour the paint and glue mixture over the pasta shapes to stick them in place.
You can even add a little seasoning, if you like, for extra effect!
| |
The scores are made by drawing different scores onto each plastic fork.
Stick one fork in each takeaway container, making sure it's touching the paint and glue mixture so that it sticks in place.
| |
You can make as many as you like, but the game works well with six takeaway container targets.
The launcher fork is very easily made.
To do so you need a junk CD sleeve. Pinch the open end to make a pyramid shape...
| |
...then flatten out two sides, like this.
Cut a semicircle out of the top using a pair of scissors...
| |
...and glue a craft stick to the underneath.
To test the launcher fork, take a ping pong ball and pop it into the launcher.
Give it a squeeze and watch that meatball fly!
| |
Why not paint the fork launcher to make it look more realistic?
Finally, cover some ping pong balls in ready brown paint to make them look like meatballs.
| |
And now you're ready to play!
The rules are simple - each player has six meatballs and the highest score wins.
The targets worth the most points are furthest away. Enjoy!
