Plus here are some great ideas for livening up the surroundings at your underwater party!

Make this puffa fish by covering a balloon with at least three layers of paper maché.

(Remember, paper maché is just strips of old newspaper pasted on with a mixture of PVA glue and water in equal amounts.)

Use rolled up newspaper to add features such as eyes and a mouth, then cover them with another layer of paper maché.

Once dry, paint the puffa fish. For ideas and colours look in nature magazines or on aquatic sites on the internet. Or, just paint it in whatever exotic colour scheme takes your fancy.

Once the paint's dry, you can add the final finishing touch: barbecue skewers as the spines. But be sure to hang the puffa fish well out of the way, so that no-one gets accidentally jabbed!

Strips of blue and green crepe paper draped over furniture and walls makes great seaweed!

Our jellyfish won't sting you - she's just a balloon covered with old bubble wrap!

And you can make your party room shimmer by hanging strips of silver foil on one wall, and shining a lamp or torch beam at them. The light mustn't be too close for this to work, and you'll need a breeze or draught to get the strips to move about and reflect the light in the sort of pattern you need.
