This is an amazing Little Finger Tip that transforms ordinary safety pins into...
| |
...fantastic jewellery!
They look expensive and make great presents but best of all - they're easy to make.
You'll need start to get hold of some jewellery threading elastic.
| |
Choose the beads you'd like to use. There are loads of lovely kinds to pick from.
These glass beads look really sophisticated and expensive, don't they?
Or how about this one?
It's made from nuts, washers and wooden beads.
| |
Plastic beads are also great.
They look good and aren't too expensive either!
You'll need about 18 safety pins to make a bracelet.
| |
Thread your chosen beads onto the safety pins, like this.
Now you can thread them onto the jewellery threading elastic.
| |
Start by tieing a spare safety pin onto one end of the elastic, so that the others don't fall off when you thread them on.
Thread on the first saftey pin followed by a spacing bead...
| |
...then another safety pin.
Keep following the pattern until you've used up all your safety pins.
When you've added them all, pop on one more spacing bead and tie a knot to finish off.
| |
Do exactly the same thing on the bottom of the safety pins.
Thread more elastic through and put a different coloured spacing bead between each.
Fabulous!
| |
Here's another idea using the same principle.
These are candle holders for night lights, using glass beads and wire instead of elastic.
Just pop onto a jam jar lid.
