This is a great Little Finger Tip that uses egg shells!
| |
Believe it or not, egg shells can be recycled to make Sidewalk Chalk which is perfect for writing out messages or marking out games!
To make one piece of chalk you'll need six egg shells, so you'll probably have to collect them for a few days.
Give them a good wash and make sure they're really dry.
| |
When you've got six together, crush them down into a powder by using a pestle and mortar.
In another bowl, mix one tablespoon of water, and one tablespoon of flour to produce a good paste that looks like this.
| |
Add to the paste a little food colouring of your choice, and mix again...
...and then carefully add the powder!
| |
Mix again and you'll see that almost immediately it starts to solidify.
Keep mixing until you have a blob of paste that looks like this - it's all squidgy!
To make it hard, dry it out over three days.
The best place to store it is an empty egg box!
| |
After three days it will have dried out and the egg box will have given it a very cool shape.
The places that Sidewalk Chalk works best are paving slabs and tarmac!
Have fun!
