This is the Finger Tips Snappy Croc Box. Looks good, doesn't it?
That toothy grin will help keep you snappy because he makes a very cool holder for a camera.
Plus, you can also store your films in his eyes.
The Snappy Croc Box is made from a pet food box like this. They're great because they already have a hinged lid, and they're long and thin like the jaws of a real snappy crocodile.

But any box with a long lid will work just as well.
Start by painting the inside.

It's a good idea to do this in red - so that it looks like the inside of a fierce mouth!
Now you can decorate the outside of the box.

You can either paint, or cover with coloured paper or card.

If you want to cover the box, lie it flat on a piece of green paper or card and wrap it up nice and tightly, glueing down as you go. More glue or tape at the end will keep the paper or card in place.
To cover the lid, place it on some more green paper or card which has a ruler width border all the way around the outside, like this.
Once you've drawn in the ruler width lines, you'll get two squares at one end which need to be carefully cut out with some scissors.
Then just place the lid back, fold up the sides and stick them down well.
You'll need to trim the edges so that the green paper or card matches the slope of the sides of the lid.
Now for the gums.

Do exactly the same thing, but give one side a wobbly, uneven effect.
Stick the gums inside the Snappy Croc's mouth, like this.
For the teeth, take a strip of card that's the same length as the front and two sides of the lid of the box.

Draw a long strip of jagged teeth with a thick black felt tip or marker pen, and cut them out.
Stick them in place, over the top of the gums.
You can make the eyes by using empty 35mm film containers. Most photo processing shops will give you these free if you ask nicely.

Wrap more green paper card around them both and stick them on the top of the lid, like this.
The eyes can be made from either ping pong or polystyrene balls, which you can get from good craft shops.

Add felt tip markings for the pupils.
Stick the eyes down well, on top of the covered film containers.
The Snappy Croc's legs are made from four more 35mm film containers, again covered in green paper or card.
Fill them with sand to weigh them down and make the Snappy Croc more sturdy.

Stick these covered film containers down onto some feet, drawn onto white paper or card.

Pop the lids of the film containers on...
...and stick the Snappy Croc's body on top.

When you're happy with the positioning, you can glue the legs in place.
You can make a tail from a triangle of card, like this.

Just stick it onto the back.
And why not draw some extra detail onto the lid?

This one has a couple of nostrils and some scaly markings - all done with felt tips.
Don't forget to add some detail to the inside of the Croc's mouth, including tonsils...
...and add in a piece of red card shaped like a tongue.

You can then hide your camera underneath the tongue!
And check out this orange Snappy Croc.

There are bones and skeletons drawn into the bottom of his mouth, inside the box.
