This stretchy writing looks, to the untrained eye, completely unreadable. But if you've got the Finger Tips knowhow, it's all very clear!
So - this is a great way of sending secret messages!
|
Once it's printed out, the writing still isn't clear to read.
But if you turn the paper so that it's angled towards the reader, it becomes much clearer and so, easy to read! Good, eh?

Some computer software (paint packages and desktop publishing, for example) will allow you to type text and then change the width, so that the letters become compressed.
But if you've not got any software like this, you could print out our stretchy writing alphabet, then cut out the letters and stick them together to make up a few secret sentences!

And there's another way of having fun with stretchy writing, using nothing more than a simple elastic band!
To have a try, stretch an elastic band over a book, and write your message onto it, using a ball point pen.

 |
When you've finished, take the elastic band off the book, and the message will condense as the elastic band does.
