This is Finger Tips Tin Can Alley.

The idea of the game is to take turns and knock off as many tin can cowboys as possible.

But don't knock over the sheriff - otherwise you'll lose the game!
If you've got a birthday coming up, why not make this game the centrepiece of a Western Party?

Here are some other ideas...
You can get into the mood by making these wanted posters.

We've got a blank poster that you can print off here.

Add a photo or draw a cartoon and pin them up.

You can add a weathered effect by brushing on some black coffee and tearing the edges.
For another decoration idea, paint pieces of cardboard to look like wood - complete with nails and bullet holes, of course!

A giant cactus can be made from three long balloons paper machéd together and painted. Tissue paper flowes will complete the effect!
For food, serve up a cowboy feast of baked beans and sausages...
...and spare ribs.
These branded pittas look great. The names and decorations are painted on with food colouring - don't they look great?

Fill them with whatever you fancy and then just heat them under a grill.
Start a gold rush by making these gold nuggets!

They're made from breakfast cereal covered in golden syrup.
Dress for the party in ten gallon hats...
...jacket and checked shirt...
...and jeans!
To make Tin Can Alley, you'll need to round up some tin cans and some rough, hairy string.
To make the tumbleweed, take a balloon, blow it up part way and tie a knot in the end.
Now for the messy part - run the string through some PVA glue! .
Wrap the gluey string around the balloon, so that it's completely covered.
When done, it should look like this.

Carefully deflate the balloon and remove it, and there's you're tumbleweed!

You'll need at least two tumbleweeds to play the game.
The bodies of the cowboys are made from tin cans.
Pop a can onto a piece of paper and draw around the base. Leave about a thumb width from the bottom of the paper, as you'll be making the neck there.
Cut out, leaving an extra shape for the neck, so that you have something that looks like this.
The shirt is made from a piece of card which is two ruler widths wide.
Stick the head and shirt together by dabbing some stick glue onto the neck.
For faces, you can either draw them on or use photos of your friends!
Just stick the shirt and head onto the can.

Just wrap it all the way around and secure any excess at the back with some dabs of stick glue.
The ten gallon hats that the cowboys wear is made by drawing around the rim of a polystyrene cup onto a piece of card twice, like this.
Join the two circles up.
Now cut out the cup from an egg box...
...and place it in the middle of the two circles that you drew.

Roughly draw around it.
Cut the whole thing out so that you have a shape which looks like this.
Pop the cup through the hole...
...and bend up the sides.

There you have a ten gallon hat!
All you have to do now is paint.

This one's being painted a mean black!
The dangly legs are just strips of card folded back and forth to create a nice springy effect.
If you like, why not add some drawn cowboy boots to the end of each leg.
Stick the legs to the body, and balance the cowboys on a wall.

This wall is just a tall box painted brown and decorated to look like wood.
You can add extra detail to the cowboys, too.

This one has a collar and extra detail on the shirt.
You can make as many cowboy characters as you like.

The aim of the game is to take turns and try to knock over as many cans as you can, without knocking over the sheriff - you lose the game if that happens!

Mark the sheriff with a badge.

Have fun!
